Software Quality Assurance Lead/Manager
Service King Collision Repair Centers
Richardson, Tx
As Service King’s first-ever software QA, I was responsible for initiating basic QA procedures within the Development department. I also worked constantly to build relationships with the developers to educate them on the need for QA and gain acceptance of the new procedures. • In my first three weeks, I used Ranorex Automation Suite to retrieve thousands of lines of lost data from a third-party system after a SAN failure, saving the company several thousand dollars using an innovative approach.• Interviewed, hired and nurtured a team of three direct reports, including one dedicated mobile tester.• Served on the Change Advisory Board (CAB) to oversee all changes being pushed to production and mitigate any potential conflicts.• Acted as mentor and SME on existing products as new teammates were brought into the QA department. • Served as JIRA administrator, creating workflows and screen designs, and managing user accounts for the Dev department.• Developed and executed written test cases using basic Excel formats, Zephyr for JIRA cloud, and eventually TFS for four distinct software products, including a legacy thick-client application, a web-based scheduling application, several Angular-based business intelligence dashboards, and two mobile applications.• Worked closely with Business Analysts and Project managers to ensure business requirements were accurate and complete.• Created automated functional testing using Ranorex, including some basic C# scripting.• Migrated over 8 TB of image data from an on -premises SQL database Azure Blob storage using a custom-built migration tool, verifying that images were present and accurate, and that the new format was fully compatible with all our systems. • Tested and validated application data using intermediate SQL in SSMS
