I have more than 20 years experience in IT analysis and application development within sales, manufacturing and distribution environments. The majority of this time was in a global multi-million dollar corporation, working on global projects in multi-discipline and multi-national teams across several time zones, with both internal and external resources and IT and business.I have experience of all sides of the development lifecycle, from collecting and defining functional requirements, through writing specifications, programming, creating and executing test plans, technical and user documentation, and end-user training and support.In an environment where any disruption to service can have a significant financial impact prompt production support is a high priority so I am well used to investigating and fixing problems under pressure in an emergency situation.I was also responsible for the configuration and maintenance of the automated change approval and management system that controlled and recorded the cycle, including the rigorous checks and audit requirements of a cGMP certified envrionment.I have experience of many SAP platforms including R/3, Netweaver, Solution Manager, GTS, BI, and technologies such as ABAP, SmartForms and iDocs. Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint; SQL Server and of course Windows. I am familiar with various versions of Linux and Unix, and web technologies XHTML, PHP, JavaScript.After many years with an SAP/development bias I feel I would like the challenge of applying my experience in a diffent direction, either to focus on another aspect of the development cycle or to learn some new technologies.
