I have been working as Regional Manager with MTM Solutions and König+Neurath (K+N) representing and managing the K+N brand throughout the Asia Pacific region:* One of my main achievements was to set up a cooperation with a local distribution partner in China, enabling us to cover the top eleven cities in China. Some of the tasks in this process included, but are not limited to: scouting for a partner, discussions and negotiations in Chinese, setting of objectives and goals, drafting and reviewing agreements and commencing operations. All this resulted in us achieving close to 250k SGD sales in the first 6 months* One of my focus points, however, is to develop and nurture the business in the two strongest existing markets, i.e. Singapore and Hong Kong by visiting the markets regularly as well as training and supporting the MTM Solutions sales force in both locations on specific projects or general presentations* Besides, I also developed market strategies for all of the K+N relevant markets in Australasia and working with MTM Solutions and our other partners across the region (Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, China, Australia, Thailand, Japan) and giving presentations to designers, project teams and top-level decision makers across the region* I also developed completely new marketing and presentation material for new and existing product lines and was engaged in local (Singapore) and regional marketing and newsletter campaigns* I also worked closely with designers and project managers on some strategically important or major projects across the region, ensuring the K+N brand is built-up in the market (including helping with the design of the new showroom for MTM Singapore)

Being the first member of the ecogood team (an online platform on calculating, reducing and compensating the carbon footprint of individuals) I was involved in all areas of development until the successful financing of the start-up in 2010:* In the beginning I was doing a lot of industry and competitive research to understand the market and industry before going into product planning and design using various product development and testing methodologies* As the next step I developed a detailed business plan including initial financial projections based on my research, addressing the problems in the market place and how we would tackle the most crucial issues* I set up the first server and blog for the website after securing all necessary domains before hiring the first IT expert with whom we started to develop the software application using the SCRUM process* I successfully devised our online marketing strategy and engaged several hundred users on twitter before even having a functioning website. The I hired and trained an editor to take over the online marketing (SEO) and blogging work of ecogood* I initiated general marketing and sales activities and sourced the first partners for our cooperation program and suppliers for our carbon offsets * Throughout the whole time I also heavily engaged with the industry experts and opinion leaders attending seminars, business talks, conferences and round tables

As part of the founder team for PWI I was involved in a great variety of tasks:* Being one of the first to join PWI, I became the Assistant Editor-in-Chief to build up and look after our global pressteam. In this capacity I recruited, trained and managed ca. 260 reporters from all parts of the world.* In order to being able to achieve this level of interest and commitment I helped to build and execute a social media campaign and I was successfully building up our twitter presence in the web. To make it even more successful I was engaging our global reporter team to help getting new people on board.* Due to my technical knowledge and marketing experience I was also consulting the rest of the management team on marketing and IT related issues, finding the best solutions to fit our requirements and intends.

As an International Project Manager (internship) for the fairs and events division of Agility, I was involved in both marketing and project management tasks:* My main project was the in the field of marketing: the introduction of a new corporate website for Agility Fairs & Events globally. In close consultations with the Head of Marketing and other relevant global parties, I developed a concept for the website including the required features and information and then optimizing the website for usability and ease-of-use, also developing the requirements for a content management system.After the concept was approved internally, I tendered the job out to several webdesign and developer companies to request for quotes and negotiate details with them.* On the operations side, I was actively involved in three big shows during the time, coordinating the freight handling on site and supervise the extras. I was also managing our customer accounts before and during the respective tradeshows. This also involved troubleshooting in case of any problems; and occasionally helping to sell our services to German participants of the show.

During the FIFA World Cup 2006 I was working as the supervisor for the Frankfurt Stadium Ticket Center:* My main responsibility was to manage the daily operations, security and safety of the stadium ticket center. * In this position I had to forecast the customer traffic to our ticket center and assign and plan the staff accordingly.It also required me to train new staff as they joined and evaluate every employee when we terminated the operations at the end of the World Cup. I oversaw a team of 15-20 employees on normal - non-match - days.* On match days I needed to supervise up to 120 employees and volunteers working in different areas, scattered around the stadium on all facets of ticket operations: ticket sales, ticket handling, entry and gantry management as well as helping customers to find their seats in the stadium and continuous troubleshooting. * I also oversaw the general logistics of the ticket center, which included handing over the daily revenues to the security company, observing and managing stock levels of raw tickets and other material used for the operations within the given budget.I also supervised the setup and break-down of the ticket center before and after the World Cup, making sure that all electrical appliances work accordingly and the ticket center and all ticket relevant areas of the stadium have correct and appropriate signage. * My role also involved a lot of coordination with the other local stadium teams, e.g. security, stadium management, F&B division or local police forces.* The last few days before the final in Berlin, I was also dispatched to Berlin to manage the Italian Team Ticket Center for the Italian soccer association.

As an intern I was part of the strategic consultant team for Fraport's Ground Services division (BVD):* I was leading various analyses to assess the origin of delays for flights. This involved looking at ramp and passenger services as well as other operational fields of the on-ground flight handling. * I was part of the ground service division's team for a big cost reduction project of Fraport. In this role, I was gathering the input of all ground service employees on potential cost saving opportunities and managing those ideas in a database. I also prepared the presentation materials for the reporting to the CFO and joined the C-level meetings on this matter.

I rendered my community service as a paramedic for the German Red Cross:* After undergoing intensive training I was able to take medical care of patients in emergency situations and handle all kinds of emergency situations* As part of the daily routine I also became very successful psychological counseling as some of our patients were suffering from extreme psychological and physical traumas. And one of my strength was to communicate with patients independent of their level of injury, age, gender or education level, making them feel protected and comfortable when under my care.* I appreciated to work in an environment where unpredictable things could happen every moment, which also trained my skill to make very quick decisions to move things forward and - in this profession - save lives.

I worked at Harth & Saager on a project basis in the stage and sound department:* As Stage Manager, I was responsible for backstage management, calling artist cues for concerts and other shows; I was also coordinating between the Front-of-House and Back-of-House sound teams on bigger events* As Assistant to the Chief Sound Engineer, I was responsible for sound checks, microphone and pickup planning, cable management and routing and standing-by to take over mixing whenever required
