Vision Impact Project-Kajiado

This role entails project management, coordination and monitoring and evaluation as well as documentation. Specifically the role provides overall leadership for the rollout of project activities, coordination of Project implementation, budget management, stakehplder engagement and report compilation and submission. I manage the budget to ensure burn rates align with the plan. I ensure timely submission of donor reports.

Health Services Delivery Case-Ovc Project;Eastern Region.

Reporting to the Regional Coordinator my responsibilites include coordinating activity implementation, support supervision, managing subawards for respective partners across multiple counties, including Machakos, Makueni, Kitui, Embu, and Kajiado. My role aslo supported partners in budget management, workplan preparation, implementation and expenditure reviews as well as compilation of periodic reports. I played a pivotal role in mentoring LIPs staff, facilitating the development, implementation, and reporting of workplans aligned with allocated budgets.

Orphans & Vulnerable Children Program, Nilinde Project, Nairobi

• In my leadership role overseeing the USAID funded Nilinde OVC project in Nairobi County, led by Plan International, I successfully coordinated Service Delivery Partners (SDPs) to enhance the well-being of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC). This involved increasing access to health and social services for 26,300 OVC and strengthening the resilience of 9,858 households.• I provided oversight for case management services at the SDPs level, emphasizing child protection and safeguarding. Through mentorship and support supervision sessions, I ensured that project partners achieved progressively set targets, contributing to the positive impact on OVC.• Engaging stakeholders and managing finances were crucial aspects of my role. Coordinating a successful donor visit by the Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC) provided essential funding insights. I aligned SDPs' budgets and workplans with allocated funds, establishing linkages with key stakeholders for holistic service provision.• Supporting beneficiaries with Household Economic Support (HES) aimed at improving livelihoods and fostering independence. I actively reviewed and prepared scopes of work and budgets for SDPs, seeking approval for project activities. Regular support supervision visits, collaboration with technical leads, and Data Quality Audits ensured the quality of program implementation.• Documenting success stories in collaboration with the Knowledge Management and Communication department, I consistently compiled reports for the donor, highlighting project achievements and progress. In essence, my leadership ensured the successful implementation of the Nilinde OVC project, positively impacting OVC and their households.

Orphans & Vulnerable Children Program (Aphiaplus Project); Nairobi

• In my role, I ensured effective program management by closely monitoring field activities through Local Implementing Partners (LIPs). This involved meticulous adherence to budgets and workplans, fostering transparent communication between LIPs and the project for seamless activity implementation.• Stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution were integral to my responsibilities. I adeptly resolved conflicts arising from LIPs at the community level and established liaison with health facilities and community teams. Building strategic alliances facilitated referrals and ensured service continuity.• Managing child services was a priority, guaranteeing that all children in the project received appropriate services. I meticulously accounted for and reported on children's progress, aligning with USAID requirements for comprehensive reporting.• Capacity building and transition management were key aspects of my role. I conducted impactful training sessions for partners on child protection policy, child safeguarding policy, and a code of conduct. An achievement worth noting was successfully overseeing the transition of the APHIAplus Project to the Nilinde Project. This involved managing the transition of over 20 Local Implementing Partners from Pathfinder International to Plan International, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

• In my role, I spearheaded strategic planning and budget management for annual children and youth activities, collaborating closely with government ministries and stakeholders. Serving as the representative of the Project in Area Advisory Councils and Sub County development committees, I actively cultivated partnerships and community engagement, enhancing the overall impact of the project.• A significant focus of my responsibilities was on capacity building and support services. I diligently worked on strengthening the capabilities of Local Implementing Partners (LIP) and Community Resource persons, ensuring the effective delivery of project objectives. Furthermore, I conducted crucial child protection trainings for caregivers, community health volunteers, and other stakeholders, contributing to the creation of a safer environment for children.• Community empowerment and livelihood enhancement were at the forefront of my initiatives. I played a key role in establishing and enrolling adolescent girls and young women in support groups, providing essential startup materials for economic empowerment. Additionally, I supported the formation of Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) groups through training sessions, promoting a savings culture and fostering independence within the community.• Advocacy, reporting, and collaboration were integral components of my role. I consistently prepared transparent monthly and quarterly reports for donors and stakeholders, ensuring accountability and transparency in project activities. Engaging in advocacy efforts with stakeholders such as the Ministry of Health, AMREF, and other like-minded organizations, I addressed issues facing adolescent girls and young women. Participating in child protection advocacy initiatives, including the "Nipe Nafasi" art exhibition, facilitated collaboration and awareness at both local and national levels.

Orphans & Vulnerable Children Program (Aphiaplus Project); Nairobi

• In my capacity, I took charge of supervising the data entry process during the transition from APHIAII to APHIAplus. The primary objective was to ensure a seamless transfer of information and maintain a clean database for effective service provision to Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC). This hands-on involvement played a crucial role in informing the project about key areas to focus on at the beginning of the APHIAplus initiative.

Aids Population And Health Integrated Assistance Program (Aphia Ii) Ovc Program-Nairobi

• I took on the task of coordinating program activities focused on providing essential services for Orphans and Vulnerable Children through Local Implementing Partners facilitated by Community Health Workers.

Weaving The Safety Net Project, Nairobi

• I took the lead in identifying, assessing, and recommending Local Implementation Partners for the project rollout. This initiative aimed to facilitate direct services to beneficiaries through the coordination and linkage of Community Health Volunteers.

Kenya

• In my role, I took on the responsibility of supervising the implementation of program activities, ensuring alignment with established workplans and budgets. Furthermore, I actively contributed to proposal and budget development, engaged in progress report writing, and provided supervision for staff members, including the Field Coordinator and Program Officer.

• I facilitated training sessions for caregivers, addressing various social aspects. Additionally, I conducted home and school visits for sponsored children, ensuring timely communication between the children and their sponsors.
