I am fascinated by the intersection of healthcare, information technology, and emerging opportunities - and this is where I love to make things happen. I have several decades of experience leading the development and delivery of technology to the benefit of demanding stakeholders. I spent 14 years as co founder and executive director of the online recruitment software company Konetic - developer of the NHS Oriel recruitment system (still in use nationwide). This gave me a love of the excitement of early stage ventures and the satisfaction from watching them flourish. After a successful exit for the company in 2014 I have focused on working with early stage companies in the digital health and medical device sectors, helping them bring products and devices to market. Most recently I have led the development and accreditation of medical devices emerging from recent advances in artificial intelligence. Combining the management of science and innovation, leading edge software techniques, regulatory rigour, the need for clear scientific evidence of clinical benefit with the potential of directly influencing patient health, this work is the most rewarding of my career to date. Because of this I am very excited to have recently been appointed CEO of Crainio, a medical device company spun out from City, University of London and supported by NLC.heatlh with a breakthrough technology that will revolutionise the care of brain injury.
