Nairobi, Kenya

The Royal Danish Embassy in Nairobi is currently the largest Danish Embassy in Africa employing more than 40 people. I worked in the department of Good Governance which main tasks are to strenghten governmental structures and support local peace and security initiatives. I assisted with: • Administration of the Kenya Governance Support Programme (KGSP) by arranging and conducting project visits, participating in donor networks and making political reports for the governance team, the Ambassador and Ministry • Supporting electoral systems through organisation and execution of election observation missions (together with USAID and CIDA) • Planning and execution of three Ministerial visits as well as responsible for a number of internal embassy activities • Responsible for structuring and updating the embassy website (sitecore)

Copenhagen Area, Denmark

I worked in the department for Global Cooperation and Economy which is responsible for cross cutting issues within Danish multilateral Development politics, specifically, in relation to the World Bank, UN, Gender and Health issues. I mainly assisted Head of Sections within the areas of Health and Gender by:• answering citizen requests, • conducting research, rights of access to documents, political reporting and production of a health newsletter for relevant embassies • planning and executing the conference "Women i Global Security"• restructuring the department website (sitecore)

DIIS is an independent research institution for international studies, financed primarily by the Danish state and is currently ranked among the top 25 think tanks in the World. I worked in the department for defense and security where I assisted scholars with research, participated in academic workshops and meetings. Additionally, I also wrote my own academic paper on Chinese peace keepings missions in Africa and the possible reasons behind the significant increase in Chinese participation (not published).
