I am integral member of the Alinta Energy team who is dedicated to optimising asset strategy, regulatory and energy market outcomes for the business. For me, the legal function is as much about value creation as it is risk management. It is my view that it is essential that an in house lawyer is a trusted commercial advisor and corporate decision maker as well as a legal expert by ensuring that the business objectives are met while legal considerations remain at the forefront of decision makers minds.In my time at Alinta Energy, I have led negotiations on major construction projects, advised on complex offtake arrangements, guided the business through dispute resolution proceedings and presented to the Board on project structuring and risk analysis. I have had the opportunity to be involved in major development projects from idea creation and evaluation through to commercialisation, construction, and operational integration that demonstrates an deep understanding of how to combine construction and energy projects.I pride myself on maintaining a calm, solutions orientated approach in all situations and demonstrates that real value can be added by in-house legal teams.
