As a haematology nurse for the past 10 years, I have developed and mastered various critical skills such as administrating chemotherapy, packet red blood cells and platelets. My expertise also includes providing excellent care and attention to bone marrow transplant patients as well as those with serious or life threatening complications (e.g. oncology and palliative care patients). I have also practiced for a year as a surgical nurse specialising in thoracic, vascular, gynaecologic and plastic surgery where some of the responsibilities involved: instrument surgery, assisting with anaesthesia, monitoring patient and insertion of venous and arterial catheter.I have excellent communication, organisational and inter-personal skills and I have always been referred as a dynamic and motivated nurse with a respectful approach towards the patients as well as the colleagues. Being passionate with my profession, which I would rather called as a vocation.
