I successfully built a loyal & regular clientele, within a year of starting my beauty business offering gel & acrylic nails, lash lifts, lash & brow tinting, pedicures and spray tanning.I invested in training and products well known within the beauty industry. I had to learn and understand my accounts, deal with customer enquiries over the phone and via message, manage appointments, maintain a good stock of equipment, and build a social media following from scratch.I am very proud of the fact I never paid for any advertising, just an organic social media following and word of mouth. Throughout my working life I have had various roles in pubs and nightclubs, sometimes as a second job, some just to see me through or to work around my children. I enjoyed the social interaction, the buzz when it's busy and the team feeling when you've made it through another hectic shift, but everything is done and you absolutely smashed it!In all of these roles I have excelled quickly, and gained more responsibility in the likes of money handling, key handling, rota organisation, wages, stock ordering, cellar management, outstanding customer service and team motivation. I also gained my personal licence in 2022.

I applied for the role of retail assistant for a brand new store that was opening, and during the interview was asked if I would like the role of manager.This was my first experience of leading a small team, alongside learning the system, recruiting, training the staff to offer the best possible service to customers and stocking a store ready for the public!My role included payroll submissions, staff rotas, appraisals, money & key handling, deliveries & re-stocking organisation, and keeping staff motivated to hit their KPI's with regular incentives.We won area competitions a few times due to our incredible upselling, which as a small team of 6 going up against teams of 15+ was a huge achievement.
