Peace Corps BeninNiaro and Gamia, Borgou, Benin-Taught English using student-centered approaches and TEFL methodology to 98 students at the Secondary School of Niaro for the 2016-2017 academic year and to 150 students at the Secondary School of Gamia for the 2017-2018 academic year. -Co-taught with three Beninese English teachers, collaborating on lesson planning and sharing classroom duties. -Built the capacity of 18 English teachers through weekly department meetings on pedagogic and linguistic aptitudes.-Facilitated and led an English Club to 23 students at the Secondary School of Niaro. Co-planned and introduced practices to two Beninese counterparts to ensure sustainability. -Co-coached a girl’s soccer team of female students at both Niaro and Gamia with a Beninese counterpart focusing on self-confidence, leadership, family planning, and gender equitable practices.-Involved in cross-sector initiatives through facilitating several training sessions. Initiatives involved malaria prevention, proper hand washing techniques, nutrition, and several others. Each training held around 70 students. -Introduced proper gardening techniques with a Beninese counterpart to students of the Secondary School of Niaro. Students were instructed on double-digging practices, and produced their own vegetables to prepare and sell in the community, thus learning economical practices. -Mentored two students at the Secondary School of Niaro during the 2016-2017 academic year through the Scholarship Girls Program and one student at the Secondary School of Gamia during the 2017-2018 year.-Served as Peace Corps Volunteer Resource (Trainer) to a new group of 23 Peace Corps trainees, leading sessions, aiding in cross-cultural adaption, providing support, and giving advice. -Copy editor to the Peace Corps Benin Newsletter-TEFL Certificate program

-Interacted with visitors on a daily basis, introduced visitors to museum exhibits, and provided detailed explanations behind the provenance of exhibits-Maintained an interactive environment in museum galleries-Solved problems in a calm and efficient manner-Led educational, hands-on activities related to paleontology, biology, and history.

-Educational activities in child-oriented spaces of the museum -Led classes in paleontology in Bonehunters Quarry

Liaison to multiple high school exchange students each academic year-Ensured a link between the exchange student, host family, and the program -Gave informational sessions at orientations-Spoke to schools about the program-Interviewed prospective host families-Visited families several times a semester to ensure all members were happy

The Pittsburgh Partnership EARN Retention Program-Wrote the EARN Retention Program Newsletter-Planned "After Hours" Workshop events -Enhanced the program's social media pages-Worked with the community to gain more members of the program

-Organized and arranged events, specifically the BIG Community Leaders Breakfast-Recruitment for program at community events such as food banks -Served over big/little matches-Distributed information at local locations to spread BBBS awareness. -Participated at Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank Produce to People events and distributed information about BBBS. -Extended social media reach of agency through online mechanisms. -Assisted in implementation of BBBS Information Sessions
