In this position, I taught secondary students in the subject of English Language Arts, Creative Writing and Advanced Placement Language and Composition. During my time at Liberty High School I served on the committee for the Writing Studio, as well as consulted with students by appointment on their writing endeavors. I also served on the Curriculum Audit Task Force, which seeks to provide a culturally responsive education to the students of the Liberty Public School district.

As part of the English Language Arts department, I took responsibility of the implementation of both PBIS behavioral strategies for the eighth grade class, as well as working with data collection and implementation of iReady program, with the intention of raising test scores for the districts low-income student population.

In this position, I operated as a one-on-one consultant for university students as part of Kansas State's Writing Center. As a consultant, I workshopped with writers in the areas of scientific writing, content organization, planning, technical writing and general composition. As part of my position within the Writing Center, I also served as a member of the Executive Commitee and held responsibilities in the interviewing process for new hires, professional development opportunities as well as leadership roles for center meetings and events.
