Cowpunch Creative is a consulting firm offering marketing, communications, public relations, and events services to agricultural businesses, nonprofits, and craft food and beverage companies.

Oversee the strategic mission, vision, and operations of 501(c)(6) trade association representing small-batch, independent maltsters in North America and beyond. Works collaboratively with the organization's 12-member board of directors to implement strategic plans and actualize objectives. Direct and coordinate 5 member working groups. Manage relationships with the organization's 600+ members and industry stakeholders up and down the craft beverage supply chain. Plan and organize the 200-person annual Craft Malt Conference including coordinating speaker recruitment and sponsor procurement, marketing, and communications efforts. Manage organizational Diversity Equity, and Inclusion Initiative and scholarship program. Coordinate and promote multi-day educational workshops. Onboard brewery and distillery participants in the Craft Malt Certified Seal program and manage existing program compliance and member relations. Represent and advocate for the organization and its members in public policy, events appearances, and with the media. Directs day-to-day organizational administrative and business operations. Manage the organization's budget and finances.

Provided event planning, management, and execution of in-house and client events in the craft beverage space. In-house projects included the following:- 2017-2021, Bozeman Craft Beer Week, an 8-day community-wide craft beer week celebration that featured 20-plus events over the course of 8-days. The event ran successfully for four years with business and sponsor participation increasing annually before the pandemic halted our events operation during the winter of 2021.- 2019-2020, Beer Maven: Beer Education Series for Women, a beer education short course series for women and non-binary individuals. Topics covered beer ingredients, brewing processes, beer styles, sensory analysis, and beer and food pairing. - 2016, 2017, 2018, Tales from the Backcountry Live Storytelling Festival, A benefit event for the Montana Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers. The event was hosted in its last 2 years at the Emerson Center in Bozeman, MT, but was initially hosted in a local brewery. Each year, 6 prominent storytellers from across the outdoors, hunting, and fishing media are featured live on stage to share tales from the field. An outdoor trade show with top industry brands such as Sitka, Stone Glacier, Simms, and more. Provided communications and marketing solutions to publications, businesses, and organizations in agriculture and the outdoors community. Specialized in technical writing and content marketing solutions. Past clients included the Sage Grouse Initiative, Gallagher North America, Woodstream Corporation (Brand: Zareba Fencing Systems), Barenbrug USA, Winecup Gamble Ranch, Synergy Resource Solutions, and Gallatin Valley Malt, among many others. Regularly wrote and submitted articles to agriculture industry publications such as Progressive Cattleman, Working Ranch Magazine, Progressive Forage Grower, Hay & Forage Grower, American Cowboy, and Stockman Grass Farmer. Additionally, occasionally wrote about beer for the likes of All About Beer and Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine. My conservation write-ups have been featured in Hatch Magazine, Montana Fly Fishing Magazine, and the National Wildlife Federation blog.

Managed and posted regularly on brewery social media accounts, increasing following by nearly 60%. Created and executed marketing campaigns for beer releases and taproom events. Handled event booking and management both on and off-site. Negotiated sales of draft and canned products with local restaurants and retailers.

Provided online and retail sales of fly fishing apparel, gear, and supplies for one of the largest Simms retailers in the United States. Assisted with web store management and updates.

Directed all marketing, communications, and customer service responsibilities for a land management and rangeland monitoring consulting firm. Revised marketing and educational materials for the client base. Created educational content and videos on sustainable, ecologically-minded rangeland management strategies for e-newsletters, web, and social media. Managed and updated the company website and social media account as needed. Assisted in data collection and recording for a variety of rangeland monitoring clients including large-scale ranching operations and federal agencies.
