• Forecast goals and objectives for sales, gross, and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis. • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, provincial, and local regulations that affect new and used vehicle sales. • Ensure proper follow up of all potential buyers • Monitor customers' likes and dislikes, lost sales, and dealership sales history and conduct local market analyses to determine which vehicles to stock. • Establish and enforce product-knowledge standards. • Appraise all incoming used vehicles• Ensure that sales personnel are informed of all new and used inventory and current advertising efforts, including special sales. • Plan and control the display of new and used vehicles. • Achieve unit sales targets for new and/or preowned cars and related products and services from retail and/or wholesale clients. • Followed up with sales personnel non purchase prospects, utilizing various methods of communication. • Developed new business and leads and increased client base through focused marketing efforts that included, but not limited to, direct mail, networking affiliations and telemarketing. • Assumed responsibility for the entire sales process, including: Getting to know the client via an in-depth interview. • Liaison with GM head office managers for monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts• Negotiate product inventory and volume levels annually with GM head office• Manage 10 million in inventory maintaining a strong 90 day turnover
