my role is to provide an open space where children (ages 2-6) feel comfortable exploring. Through (non adult structured) play i am to observe and support (if asked) all children individually as they develop the social, emotional, cognitive, physical and problem solving skills that lay the foundation for a lifetime of growth.

i planned curriculum and set up plans in accordance with the schools constructivist philosophy. i modeled non-violent communication in problem solving, in additions to observing and reflecting on each child as an individual.

i sourced material, planned curriculum and facilitated an after-school art class at Manual Arts High School.
