About Jesse Mohrbach
After graduating from Grandville High School, I decided to get my degree in culinary arts, as I’ve always been passionate about trying new recipes and making others happy through food. During my seven years in the culinary world, I quickly climbed my way up to management positions, helped implement new training programs, recruited and hired kitchen staff, managed inventory systems, as well as ensured that customer needs were met. Life in the kitchen was fun, however, I learned that it’s not a sustainable long-term career. In March of 2021, I decided to switch tracks and enter the technology sector. I have always been fascinated by technology, whether it’s playing video games or building a PC. I also know that Grand Rapids is on track to becoming a major Midwest tech hub, adding approximately 20,000 new jobs to our local tech sector in the next 10 years. Technology is, without a doubt, the future of Grand Rapids and I am excited to be a part of it. After making the decision to jump careers, I'm excited to see where my future in tech takes me.
