Working within the both the Immunoassay team and the Chromatography team at TetraQ, as an Associate Scientist my role includes sample analysis and validation testing of biological samples from pre-clinical studies. This work is conducted in a GLP environment to a high-quality standard amongst a multi-disciplinary workforce.

Racing Science Centre

As a chemist at the Racing Science Centre, I routinely completed a number of chromatographic testing screens on biological samples in a high-throughput, high-quality team environment having placedintegrity and compliance at the centre of everything I did.

My role of chemist fulfills a quality control and assurance capacity within Alphapharm (Mylan Australia). Wet chemistry, instrumental techniques, and data processing are but some of the skills that I have developed through employment with Mylan Australia. These skills were coupled with the knowledge and use of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices, as well as an understanding of environmental and workplace health and safety measures and the importance of data integrity.

The Australian Leo of the Year is announced as the winner of the Leo of the Year competition at the National Lions Convention annually. As the winner of the competition, the Leo of the Year also agrees to take on an ambassador role, promoting the good work of the Leo Club Program to the rest of the Lions family, encouraging growth within the program, and expanding the reach of the youth-centered volunteering movement to the wider community. Qualities sought after in the Leo of the Year include a commitment to the LEO values of Leadership, Experience, and Opportunity, an ability to communicate effectively, as well as the skill set to inspire like-minded individuals to join, start, and support Leo Clubs across Australia.

I worked at the 'front end'​ of our store's operations as a register operator, a self-checkout operator, and a customer greeter. I have developed and continued to develop skills such as verbal communication, empathetic customer service, problem solving, conflict resolution, time management, and professionalism.

The role of peer tutor is given only to high achieving students who have demonstrated leadership qualities and an enthusiasm to tutor. In this year I tutored in Biochemistry. As a peer tutor, I communicated with my students in a professional manner, organised tutoring sessions, devised lesson plans, and implemented these lesson plans to assist the students in their learning. I continually sought feedback from students to improve my skills and their experience.
