Senior strategic planner at United States Central Command (USCENTCOM). Conducts planning requirements and collaborates with military and government personnel to accomplish tasks that support the long-range planning requirements of USCENTCOM. The U.S. Army War College is a premier Department of Defense Senior Service College that prepares senior military officers and government leaders for service at the strategic level of government. The curriculum is a rigorous study of strategic leadership and theory of war that explores historical case studies throughout the history of warfare and examines current international strategic dilemmas. The 10-month course culminates with the graduating officer earning a Masters of Strategic Studies (MSS) degree. Completed the National Security Policy Program with an internship in Washington, D.C. at the Joint Staff J5 Security Cooperation Directorate.

Chief of Operations for the Army Campaign Plan under supervision of the Army G-3/5/7 Transformation Directorate. Responsible for identifying, shaping, and sequencing key strategic decisions and special topics for the Secretary of the Army, Chief of Staff of the Army, and the Deputy Chief of Staff G-3/5/7. Strategic efforts included Regional Alignment of Forces (RAF), Adapting Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN), Brigade Combat Team (BCT) Reorganization, Reducing the Active Component Army to 490K by FY15, and THAAD Global Posture.

Commanded the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment "Blue Spaders" - a light infantry battalion from the 3rd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division with 811 soldiers - and deployed the battalion from Fort Knox, Kentucky to Khost, Afghanistan in December 2010. Commanded the battalion for 12 months of sustained combat operations in Afghanistan as Task Force Spader with over 900 soldiers, while partnering with Afghan National Army, Afghan National Police, and Afghan Border Police units. Redeployed the battalion back to Fort Knox in December 2011.

Served as the Brigade S3 (Operations) Staff Observer/Controller/Trainer (B03) at the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) for six unit rotations through the JRTC.

Served as Battalion S3 (Operations) for the 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment "Tomahawks" in 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) during pre-combat training at Fort Lewis, Washington and the National Training Center (NTC) at Fort Irwin, California. Continued to serve as Battalion S3 during the unit deployment to Iraq from July 2006 - July 2007. Conducted sustained combat operations in Baghdad, Baquba, Yusufiya, and Mahmudiya.

Coordinated training and support for 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment operations at Hunter Army Airfield and Fort Stewart in Savannah, Georgia. Served as Battalion Rear Detachment Commander for unit deployment to Afghanistan.

Deployed the company to Kandahar, Afghanistan from September - December 2002 for sustained combat operations. Deployed the company to Iraq from March - May 2003 for the initial invasion of Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Deployed the company to Baghdad, Iraq from September - December 2003 to continue combat operations in Iraq.

Served as the Battalion S3 Air officer at 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Planned and executed all unit fixed wing and rotary wing operations including multiple joint special operations exercises. Planned and executed multiple day and night mass tactical parachute assaults and airfield seizure operations.

Served as the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment S5 Civil Affairs Officer during multiple joint special operations exercises and missions. Coordinated and integrated the civil-military and psychological operations planning for all unit operations.

Commanded C Company, 1st Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment in the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas - a mechanized infantry company of 110 soldiers with 14 M2A2 ODS Bradley Fighting Vehicles. Commanded the company during multiple company and battalion field training exercises and gunnery training certifications at Fort Hood. Deployed the company to the National Training Center (NTC) at Fort Irwin, California for NTC Rotation 00-02 and redeployed the company back to home station.

Served as the Brigade S1 (Personnel and Administration) for the 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. Supervised the Brigade Personnel Administration Center (PAC) and managed the personnel actions for the 3,500-soldier brigade during training and operations at Fort Hood, Texas.

Served as the Company Executive Officer for A Company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Second in command of the company and responsible for supervising the company headquarters element during numerous joint special operations training missions and exercises including day and night mass tactical parachute assaults and airfield seizure operations. Responsible for logistical support, maintenance, supply accountability, and administration of the company.

Served as platoon leader for 1st Platoon, A Company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Benning, Georgia. Led the platoon of 38 Army Rangers for 12 months during joint special operations training including multiple joint exercises, day and night mass tactical parachute assaults, and airfield seizure missions. Conducted training deployments to Canada for winter combat training with the Canadian Parachute Regiment and to the Jungle Operations Training Center (JOTC) at Fort Sherman, Panama for the Jungle Warfare Course.

Served as platoon leader for 2nd Platoon, D Company, 1st Battalion, 503d Infantry Regiment (Air Assault) in the Republic of Korea. Led the anti-armor platoon consisting of 17 American and three Korean soldiers for 12 months during sustained field training across the Republic of Korea. The platoon was equipped with four HMMWV vehicles, two TOW2B anti-tank missile systems, and two MK-19 automatic grenade launchers. Conducted multiple platoon and company air assault operations.
