Duties/Responsibilities• Systems and Network Administrator for ARRTC/84th Division of the United States Army Reserves Command (USARC), Ft. Dix, NJ.• Install, configure and maintain local ARRTC/84 th computer equipment including but not limited to: projectors, smart boards, printers, copiers, workstations, and servers.• Maintain Academy share drive. This large shared resource contains files, databases and documentation our soldiers use on a regular basis.• Create, manage and upkeep Active Directory users, groups and computers for the Fort Dix Non-Commissioned Officers Academy. This includes all in-processing and group management for new instructors and headquarters personnel.• Troubleshoot and resolve all data networking and phone system issues within local ARRTC/84th units.• Ensure that users under the ARRTC/84th comply with security and acceptable use policies issued by command staff.• Train and supervise soldiers provided by US Army to assist with daily duties.- Due to soldiers’ frequent rotation of duty appointments I must train each new soldier on the methods and policies of the USARC regarding all facets of applicable IT needs.Accomplishments• Coordinated and oversaw the implementation of over $1.5 million in computer equipment to the Ft Dix NCO Academy. This included all new laptops, printers, projectors, Promethean Board setups, digital scanners and a new server.• Implemented Windows 2003 & 2008 Servers for location-wide access to database, file, and print resources.• Installation of Polycom Video Teleconferencing System over ISDN lines.• Upgraded Academy classrooms for full Army Reserve network support. This involved imaging and configuring two hundred laptops for print and file sharing services for all students, installing network lines for all classrooms, and setting up several computer labs that were created for student convenience.• Implemented monthly backup system for all shared files on Academy server.

• Provided network and desktop support for Microsoft with Novell workstation environments during which I was responsible for tech work on nearly 900 workstations deployed at 14 sites throughout the school district. This involved installing, configuring and managing not only Microsoft Windows workstations configured for Novell, but also print and file servers. I was also tasked with maintaining certain network equipment including switches and cabling.• Installed and configured an Open Enterprise Server/Linux SUSE 9.1 Squid cache server.• Responsible for large imaging projects throughout the district involving multiple images.• Wired, installed, and configured numerous computer labs (30+ workstations per lab) and classrooms.• Supervised 6 student-intern technicians during a technology refresh project which involved removal and installation of over 500 computer systems across 10 sites.
