About Jesse Stuart
Most of my work experience is in house and monitor mixing (live sound) for shows in concert venues, for corporate events, and in houses of worship. Recently as the pandemic raged on, and despite a near-total shut-down of my industry, I found part-time audio work for live streamed and pre-taped concerts and fundraisers. This means I balanced the sound for what you'd hear watching a concert on Youtube or your organization's fundraiser. I have trained less experienced sound engineers, designed certain aspects of installed sound systems at a few of the organizations I've worked for, and been responsible for system upkeep and function. I've recently helped Roosevelt High School's music department, in troubleshooting issues and training students. I had the opportunity to record guitar parts and audio mixing for their live-streamed spring musical. A former employer told me their venue would have had to shut down due to a very poorly designed (by contractors) video/projection system if I hadn't been there to implement contingencies. I've had the opportunity to work with many kind and passionate people, as well as some difficult people. I was told that I was an impressionist by my high school art teacher (half a lifetime ago). I have from a young age, tried to create music (I’m a composer). The music i create is inspired by the seemingly improvised aspects of nature; wind creating rhythms with chimes or the way in which icicles melt in spring, creating new channels for water. I try to capture the beauty, effort, and story that I perceive in nature and convey it in my music. One of my strengths is in listening to people. In addition to listening to the client tell me what they would like, I pay attention to the intent and story present in their music or presentation. If it is music, I listen to the needs of the music itself. In the sound production, I try to faithfully bring out the effort and story the client has in their vision.
