My role at GHD involved assisting senior engineers and technical directors with the application of sustainable sustainability rating tools and frameworks to projects (UN Sustainable Development Goals, Green Star, Infrastructure Sustainability, LEED and WELL). I also performed National Construction Code – Section J Energy Efficiency assessments using both the Deemed to Satisfy and performance solutions using and performing energy modelling. I provided assistance with the preparation of building models, using software such as IES VE, to model energy, thermal and daylight performance. I also provided assistance with research, the preperation of technical reports and memos, and the preperation of proposals/tenders, including developing work break down structures and cost estimates.

Voluntary experience developing a locally sourced, sustainable stove for domestic application within the local Fijian community. I worked in team environment to develop a chatbot which operates the ordering and delivery of stoves during the absence of the group. I communicated with local population to understand our client’s cooking covet, while seeking feedback on the stove and the chatbot. Performance testing of stove prototype were completed to assess improvements.
