Profile bio

About Jesse Cassidy

I currently work as a Process Engineer at Component Repair Technologies in Mentor, Ohio. My job duties involve working extensively with turbofan jet engine components. CRT is a licensed FAA Repair Station, and we overhaul and repair many jet engine components for our customers. I utilize OEM engine manuals, aerospace industry engineering standards, our shop's repair processes, and engineering analysis to see parts through the full scope of their repair, after which they are certified as airworthy. I currently work heavily with CFM56 and CF6 engine core components, with a focus on CFM56-5B and -7B LPT cases and CF6 Fan Shafts.I was previously employed at Sare Plastics as an Engineering Intern. During my time at Sare, I worked extensively with Solidworks Solid Modeling software, as well as various CAD and CAM softwares. In addition, my job involved programming and running the CNC mill.As I pursued my undergraduate Mechanical Engineering degree I was involved in the SAE Baja club, known as Raider Racing at our school. As a member of the executive council, myself and my fellow engineering seniors were in charge of leading the club in the process of designing, manufacturing, and testing our own off-road Baja Car before competing in a year-end race. I was also a member of Student Senate, and worked as a Preview Guide, responsible for acclimating incoming freshman to the school. In my spare time, I worked at Mount Union's Information Desk, providing school information to callers and visitors.

Listed skills include Solidworks, Siemens Nx, Autocad, Microsoft Office, and 7 others.
