Upon graduation from Lenoir Community College as a Certified Surgical Technologist, I worked in the operating room under many different surgeons and in different specialties. I then decided to return to school as a distance education student with Liberty University, and completed my undergrad in Elementary Education. I jumped into the clinical world and became a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant; as well as, continued working as a Certified Surgical Technologist within a private sector of ophthalmology. I have many leadership courses and training working as a clinical supervisor as well.I was unsure of what the world would hold for me during the initial Covid-19 outbreak. I enrolled at East Carolina University to complete an undergrad in Communications. I knew that this would give me the leverage to pursue many different career paths should I decide to choose an alternate route from healthcare.I found that I love the IT side in the healthcare setting. I am now employed with Modernizing Medicine as a software trainer specializing in ophthalmology. I am a road warrior and travel all across the United States training practices on our software. I thoroughly enjoy where life has taken me and excited to see what my future holds within ModMed. #ItsAboutTime #WAMM
