Coordinate and administer new employee safety, advanced safety, and annual safety training programs.Apply technical expertise in completing risk assessment activities (e.g., Machine and Equipment Risk Assessment, Fall Hazard Risk Assessment, PPE Risk Assessment, Industrial Hygiene (IH) Risk Assessment, Ergonomic Risk Assessment, Site Risk Assessment).Work across disciplines with EHS team members to oversee the safety activities of all laboratories, laboratory personnel, contractors, and support staff; communicate to appropriate management when risks are observed, corrected, or in need of further management emphasis. Assist the investigation of trends and work with management to develop engineering or work practice control changes, as necessary.Promote a positive relationship and interact with a variety of regulatory agencies and professionals; including OSHA, WDNR, CLIA, CAP, and other federal, state, and/or local regulations, as applicable.

Worked throughout Jefferson County to digitize any at-risk structures within the Floodplain Management Zone. This was done through interpretation and review of areal photos. Structure attributes were also entered and metadata was created for the resulting structures. Utilization of ESRI’s Arc Suite allowed for digitization and geodatabase management. Modeling was used for quality control to assure all structures were digitized in their respective zones.

As a Measurement and Verification Intern my main duty was the development and editing of our Measurement and Verification reports: documents we provide to clients describing the changes we made, how they saved energy, and what the true energy savings were. I also performed sustainability activities, including assisting with energy and water efficiency calculations and carbon calculation standards. I also worked with excel daily to track savings and generate charts and graphs. I was taught and performed logger set up on multiple projects. I also archived and filed completed projects.

I spent two summers as the Village's Engineering Intern. Throughout both summers I managed multiple road construction, parks, and housing development projects. I was in charge of leading weekly progress meetings on all jobs, creating/submitting daily reports, making immediate professional decisions, and performing manual surveying. In more rare circumstances I also read and understood AutoCAD files and blueprints, electronically surveyed, performed public safety measures, and performed miscellaneous office duties.
