Coming onboard as the manager of group practice consisting of 9 therapists, I was the only staff member due to failed retention and financial instability. I took control of many shortfalls in accounting, billing, scheduling, office organization, and quickly implemented new procedural guidelines to bring the office current with HIPAA compliance standards. As the practice continued to grow, new therapists and office staff members were added to team and as the manager was able to properly carry out the following:- Maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures; accounting & preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; and leading a team of office staff by assigning and monitoring clerical functions.- Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.- Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; and following up on work results.- Keep owners informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; and identifying trends.- Maintain office staff by recruiting, interviewing, selecting, orienting, and training employees.- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.- Achieved financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions.
