I've always had a keen interest in technology whether this be games consoles, computers, mobile devices or anything else vaguely similar. Given this, I knew very early on I wanted to get into something that was technical, fun, and would some how bring all of these things together, for me this took the form of web development.I followed this path through both college and university where I was also able to gain some valuable industry experience before going out into the world of work.I was very fortunate with my role at Newable as in the beginning (all the way back in 2016) there wasn't really a fully fledged web department and we were there to maintain existing projects more than we were there to create anything new, however, when we made the switch from Greater London Enterprises to Newable the focus shifted very much towards "how can we use a website to fulfil customer needs?". This meant a great deal more work to be done and a great deal more experience.Since then I have been able to work on a variety of projects such as building multiple corporate websites, building an intranet and developing portals to work with various APIs. Around these I have also been able to dive into the use of Git and other tools to ensure smooth project delivery.
