I am an ASA accredited Graduate Statistician. My PhD is in Educational Statistics (Ed. Psych, REMS track). I also hold a Graduate Certificate in Applied Mathematics with a focus on mathematical statistics and probability. I have an extensive background conducting statistical analyses. In my career I regularly utilize a host of different statistical methods, including : Regression (Linear models), Linear Mixed Models, Logistic Regression, ANOVA/MANOVA, various non-parametric methods (Chi-square, signed rank, Spearman’s Rho), and many others. I also work with measurement/psychometric models, particularly CTT, CFA and IRT. My mathematics training helps me to quickly learn new methods, which I have found to be very helpful when deadlines are short (as they often are).I've had opportunities to author and co-author various reports, white papers, conference submissions, and journal articles. Usually my co-author contributions consist of methodology, results, and parts of discussion sections. I have discussed statistical concepts with both technical and non-technical colleagues, as well as students, in addition to presenting my research at national conferences. Through these experiences I would say that I am confident in my ability to explain statistical processes and results to both technical and non-technical audiences. I am a skilled programmer in several languages, and consider myself a master of the R language. Over the years, I have used R effectively in many diverse applications. I have written code to call, manipulate, and merge data. I have also written code to implement various mathematical algorithms, to statistically analyze results, and to generate publication-ready summary statistical tables. I have experience in data visualization and tool creation, such as an R Shiny based application I created during my time with the National Board of Medical Examiners.
