Instead of cutting chips and making moves on the felt in Las Vegas casinos, I'm now closing deals on Zoom calls in my living room.At first glance, it sounds like they are worlds apart...but that couldn't be further from the truth.The things that attracted me to poker like the competition, the high pressure situations, and the perfect blend of logic and intuition...they are all present in sales too.The game is the same, but the rules are a little bit different. Rather than studying computer simulations and pouring over hand historys, I'm doing roleplays and rewatching my sales calls.Covid shut down the casinos and pushed me into sales, and I get a lot of the good that I loved in poker.
