In this role Jesse assisted with teaching Introduction to Site Design to graduate students. The class focused on the understanding of the built environment so that city planners and urban designers can develop observational and graphic skills to perform site analysis and make a basic urban design proposal based on the principles of sustainable urbanism. At Vernon G. Henry and Associates Jesse's primary role was preparing and coordinating urban subdivision plats. Subdivision plats are prepared in accordance with City of Houston's Ch. 42 standards. Jesse specialized in plats with unique circumstances that typically require subdivision variances, parking variances, and public hearings. Also in his role, Jesse prepared site plans that allowed developers to envision possible options for site development. Miscellaneous work included brainstorming for better subdivision code, analyzing context appropriate solutions, and researching land history.

At TBG Partners Jesse was involved in a number of planning related projects. His project experience included: developing Planned Development illustrative exhibits, rendering site plans, preparing both urban and suburban subdivision plats, developing Condemnation Case illustrative exhibits, assisting with the planning of master planned communities, and applying City of Houston Ch. 42 development regulations.

Jesse's roles within Habitat for Humanity Lakeside included: building community partnerships, marketing Habitat's vision, helping HFHL achieve greater visibility within the community, building HFHL's capacity by crafting a community outreach framework, and assisting with HFHL's Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative.
