About Jesse Wu
Hello, I'm a first-year undergraduate student at UC San Diego majoring in International Studies with a minor in Japanese Studies. I aim to lead a life of service; wherever I go to work or study, I strive to leave a lasting positive impact!I have a broad range of leadership experience, such as being an orchestral section leader, holding officer positions in multiple clubs, and serving as a Clubs Commissioner on student council. Projects I've worked on include founding a string quartet, planning a multi-year schoolwide talent showcase, and coordinating club and community outreach on campus and beyond. I'm still looking for more; I plan on expanding my perspectives through my coursework, internship experiences, and eventually employment! Academically, I'm interested in studying international relations and political science, and my dream is to join the Foreign Service in the future. In my spare time I love spending time with friends. I also choose to participate in many club activities, performing community service and exploring my interests, and take up volunteering outside of clubs as well. I've also been a longtime musician, I grew up playing video games, and I'm looking to pick up reading as a hobby again!
