I am responsible for planning, marketing, and executing 5-7 fundraising events per year including our annual Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk. This event is the largest fundraising event of the year and raises over $65,000 annually. I also network with the local community to gain sponsorships and in-kind donations as well as build partnerships with like-minded organizations to help raise awareness for bleeding disorders. This includes other health or women-centric businesses in and around the Pittsburgh area.In this position, I am also in charge of designing, editing, and laying out WBDF’s quarterly newsletter, Hemogram, designing and writing copy for all WPBDF social media marketing and fundraising campaigns (owned and paid), and designing all programs, advocacy, and other educational flyers and invitations sent to members.

I tutor children from preschool grade through 11th grade. The students are broken down into school readiness programs, learning to read, and essay writing. I help each child understand English language concepts from the basics of word formation up to grammar and content management. I help high school students prepare for their SATs and other school testing. I also tutor students, grades one through four, in lower level math.

In this position, I help with general event planning for upcoming fundraisers. my tasks include cold calling for donations, designing promotional materials like brochures, and sending donation requests and thank you letters.

As an assistant manager, I am responsible for the entire theater during my shift. I need to make sure my staff is doing everything correctly and helping our customers efficiently. I handle customer issues and projection issues if they should occur. A few specific tasks I have in this position include organizing our promotional items and dealing with donations to other businesses and non-profits.

On the floor, I am the first face the customers see when they enter the building. I am responsible for taking their order and helping them find the correct auditorium, all will providing outstanding customer service. Along with ringing cash registers, my other responsibilities as a team member include cleaning up after the movies let out.

Within this position, I aid the VP and director of the community relations and development departments with the planning of special events. I also utilize the software Donor Pro to enter in donations or other sources of income, organize the donors, and send thank you letters.

In this position, I enhanced my photography skills by learning how to shoot in a studio setting. I learned how to set up the lights and background as well as shooting human models or simple product shots. I learned to use Adobe systems such as Photoshop and Lightroom to edit the photos for different advertising campaigns.

Within this position, I worked closely with the team to interview family members and talk to the players. I took photos that were uploaded to social media sites such as Instagram and Twitter as well as used in promotional items. I also interacted with fans through Snapchat and updated the story during the games.
