Hello! I'm Jessica Luna, a passionate junior at the University of Southern California, majoring in Computer Engineering and Computer Science (CECS). From an early age, I’ve been captivated by the intersection of technology and other disciplines. My journey in CECS has only deepened this curiosity, driving me to explore how software and hardware innovations can be harnessed not just to solve complex problems, but to make a meaningful impact in fields like healthcare, education, and social justice.This past summer, I had the incredible opportunity to work on site with a company in Japan, where I conducted vulnerability testing to identify and correct security flaws in their website. The experience not only sharpened my technical skills in cybersecurity but also reinforced my belief in the importance of secure, responsible software development. I enjoyed how this role combined my love for problem-solving with real-world impact, ensuring that technology can be both powerful and safe.I’m particularly excited about how technology can create sustainable solutions, enhance quality of life, and drive social change.
