My time at Foxtel started off in the Operations team, working on improving the day to day processes in the broadcast and scheduling part of the organisation. Whilst I was in this role, I had to opportunity to learn about the Foxtel broadcast architecture and assist in day to day platform maintenance tasks. I then moved into Product Development, specifically under the Content Services team where I became responsible for managing integration tasks surrounding the NAGRA CMS application. During time in this role, I assisted in the development, maintenance and deployment of the brand new STB UI for Foxtel customers. This contributed to the retention of our older and existing customers, as well as has help reign in new customers that would be interested in purchasing the IQ3/IQ4 boxes. In the past year, I was asked to help fill in as a technical Integration SME for the Product Technology group. I used this opportunity to review the integration processes within Product Development, and helped implement better acceptance criterias in our testing benchmarks, as well introduced performance testing for the external applications on the UI. This was a pivotal component to this role, as it added value to the customer experience, directly translating in better loading times of content on the STB.KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:- Implemented and improved performance testing of the STB UI. Directly improved the user experience of the STB, improved processing functionality of content in the UI which in turn positively impacted the customer experience of navigating the STB. - Worked closely with Architecture teams in testing and maintaining new functionalities of the STB. - Assisted developing better testing benchmarks and writing acceptance criteria in the integration space. This resulted in the improvement in testing, more efficiencies in product delivery and better bug + defect management.

As a TAM intern, I worked in the NDS team for small to medium size businesses to help facilitate a healthy IT environment for Microsoft clients. My primary role included:- Monitoring Pro-Active and Re-Active support for customers and assisting TAM and PFE's in their communication with customers.- Managed bulk email for Microsoft Services customers. - Assisted my team in creating an NDS website using Microsoft SharePoint and Visio to create a local repository in which NDS could locate appropriate documentation for their daily activities.- Updated team documents and joined PFE's during meetings and lab demonstrations.- Collaborated with Microsoft Vendors in dispatching, copying and updating Virtual Machines, Microsoft software and services.- Collaborated with various internal teams within Microsoft to assist with externally run competitions such as Protege and Imagine Cup.
