Human Resources Manager, overseeing employee relations, payroll, accounts payable, employment law, policies, and everything in between. I really enjoyed my time in this role and was sad to have to leave when I moved to Arizona.

Owner/Director of Wise Little Owls Preschool. We serve breakfast, lunch and two snacks daily, all USDA approved. We follow a detailed curriculum each day that facilitates learning in all levels of childhood development. This facility is licensed to care for children ages 4 weeks to 12 years.

My responsibilities include, but are not limited to ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations, facilitate appropriate candidate selection, manage and conduct effective and timely on-boarding, manage and keep up to date applicant tracking and information storage systems, provide assistance for scheduling, support and collaborate with payroll, training and recruiting departments, audit time cards, and provide general Human Resource support to our over 100 employees.

I worked in HR Generalist capacity, handling employee paperwork; both new hire and termination. I also updated office filing systems and reorganized employee files to ensure compliance. Additionally, I performed driving record checks to update eligibility of use for company vehicles and updated insurance. I also developed a sexual harassment training that incorporated videos and scenarios and presented this training to employees at multiple job sites.

As the Lead Student Ambassador I led a group of 11 student staff members, coordinated weekly meetings and scheduled office hours. I served as a lead for the Selection Committee where I created new group interview prompts, developed scoring and ranking forms for applications and made hiring decisions. I also conducted employee performance evaluations and reviews, set goals and provided prompt feedback. Was also an orientation leader where I assisted new students in transitioning to WSU Vancouver. Worked in conjunction with Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, Office of Admissions, Office of Financial Aid, Student Resource Center, and Student Diversity Center. Also facilitated campus tours for prospective students and their families and recruited at college fairs and events.

As the face of the Spokane Children's Theatre, I demonstrated customer service skills through navigating challenging problems and assisting with ticket sales. I participated in theatre advertising and marketing by creating brochures, newsletters, and special promotions. I developed and maintained training manuals for various positions within the theatre. During events, I handled money, up to $1,000 at a time and maintained records of finances - cost vs profit. I served as the liaison between the theatre office and the production Director, Producer, Stage Manager and Cast/Crew.

Managed a team of programmers to ensure Washington State Code of Ethics was maintained and Use of Resources was legal and followed procedure. I assisted in the planning and promotion of educational, cultural, and social programs within the Office of the Student Government. Additionally, I was a member of the Executive Staff and served as an advocate for students to the Chancellor. I also participated on the Senate Committee where I made decisions on behalf of students in relation to current events.

As a preschool teacher, I developed and implemented Early Childhood Development based curriculum. I also organized field trips that promoted learning and individual growth/cognitive development while also managing and recording classroom expenses and billing. Additionally, I maintained communication with parents and provided them with behavior reports.
