I am an anthropologist living in Calgary with a research focus in archaeology and biological anthropology. I began my academic career as an undergraduate student at the University of Calgary (BA archaeology, BSc anthropology), and recently defended my master's thesis (MA archaeology) at the University of Saskatchewan. My degree specialized in developing a method to identify working activity in dog bones as part of a larger project on Indigenous dog sledding. I have also authored and co-authored articles in multiple academic journals, and I was a peer reviewer and co-editor of Pathways Graduate Journal (University of Saskatchewan).My non-academic experience involves training as an animal care technician, landscaper, and retail worker (receptionist, cashier, and dog bather). Other interests include hiking, skiing, reading, singing, and fossil hunting.
