I taught ESL and English pronunciation to elementary students in the public schools of Seoul, South Korea. I was also responsible for creating and directing summer English camps, developing curriculum, developing media teaching aids, maintaining a continual rapport with administration and staff that was sensitive to cultural customs and so forth. My second year, I started my own tutoring service.

As an assistant to the youth administrator, the responsibilities involved entering data into spreadsheets and programs, creating a timeline of tasks and delegating responsibilities for events, arranging and confirming rentals and materials needed for events, keeping staff informed of progress, connecting to the youth, and coordinating the church's annual Christmas Store for low income families.

I taught English pronunciation and reading to elementary students and gave religious instruction to high school students. I was responsible for organizing the English library, developing creative teaching aids out of limited materials, and devising lesson plans.

As the church pianist, I accompanied congregational and choral singing. I accompanied the adult choir, special singing arrangements, and directed the youth choir. I gave religious instruction to elementary-aged students in which I developed my own lesson plans. Effective education involved time counseling and connecting with students on a personal level.I involved myself in welcoming newcomers and making sure they felt comfortable and cared for.
