Since childhood I have ben passionate for forests and nature. Having grown up in Manaus, at the heart of the Amazon rainforest, I experienced first hand the privileges of having healthy forests and also the horrible consequences of deforestation. I went on to study these forests and solutions to help keep them alive.I am now a sustainability expert with a background on forest ecology and drivers of land use change. I have experience working on forest policy, corporate disclosure and accountability and doing research to find solutions to ensure good management of natural resources. My current role as Manager at WBCSD's Forest Solutions Group, provides guidance and support to companies in the forest products supply chain. Previously, I worked for WWF-UK as a Forest and Commodities Policy Advisor, supporting WWF's work to stop deforestation around the world. I have also worked for CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), on corporate environmental disclosure.I continue to work tirelessly to help alleviate impacts on forests and nature, so future generations are able to experience the joys I had in my childhood: playing on trees, swimming in clean rivers and breathing clean air!
