In my third external practicum, I addressed speech sound production, receptive and expressive language, and social communication skills in the following formats: push-in, pull-out, individual, and group. I supported students' academic growth by monitoring grades, leading discussions, and problem solving. I conducted assessments as part of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process. Lastly, I engaged in co-treatment and whole-group instruction with classroom teachers and social workers.

In this role, I assisted the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator of the Master of Occupational Therapy Program. I managed phone calls, organized documentation for student placements, and designed surveys.

During my clinical internship, I supported early speech sound acquisition and language development using a total communication approach (i.e., sign language, AAC, spoken language) for toddlers and preschool-aged clients. I strengthened phonological awareness and narrative retell skills through literacy-based intervention with a school-aged client. Additionally, I addressed activities of daily living (ADLs) for an adult with Broca's aphasia. Lastly, I collaborated with clients, supervisors, and co-clinicians to compose effective lesson plans, SOAP notes, and semester reports.

In my second external practicum, I provided client-led intervention to individuals with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) and autism. I incorporated principles of motor planning/programming in intervention. I facilitated discussions with caregivers, clients, and orofacial myologists. I created take-home activities and word lists to promote generalization of skills.

In my first external practicum, I participated in the Early Intervention (EI) and School programs. I utilized a listening and spoken language approach to support children with hearing loss. I provided parent coaching and counseling in EI via home visits and telepractice. Additionally, I participated in weekly toddler groups by providing pull-out services. I targeted speech sound production using a traditional articulation approach for preschool-aged clients. Lastly, I collaborated with preschool teachers, audiologists, and interpreters.

In this role, I demonstrated understanding of phonetics and anatomy of speech, led student labs, co-taught lectures, and tutored students in one-on-one and group sessions.

As a peer tutor, I engaged with students for one-on-one advice/instruction for writing, reading, and othereducational assignments. I led workshops about effective reading strategies. I collaborated with First-Year Inquiry classes as a Writing Fellow. In this role, I worked with many students to strengthen their research papers.

As an undergraduate clinician, I effectively completed documentation and progress reports. I easily collaborated with peers and clinical supervisors. My strengths included implementing feedback from clinical supervisors, selecting creative materials and activities for clients, and establishing rapport with clients and their family members.
