Perform laboratory testing and related activities to determine chemical and physical characteristics of lubricants and petroleum related materials for such purposes as customer reporting, product or process quality control, product development and test method development. Evaluate the performance and quality control of automotive lubricants via ASTM methods in an analytical laboratory with ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation. Set up, operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment/instruments according to defined schedules and following the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Includes use of references in analysis, control charts and instrument logs. Serve as primary and back-up analyst on assigned testing where ISO required training has been completed. Provide support as needed to team members to ensure timely and accurate results delivery. Analyze customer samples via high throughput tests by performing ASTM test methods in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems.
