Our in-depth approach to testing, research, and understanding of lubricant applications has led to the solution of critical industry challenges as well as the development of new approaches to measuring the physical and chemical properties of lubricating oils. In fact, our laboratories developed several key engine oil bench tests that are now industry requirements such as the Tapered Bearing Simulator (TBS) Viscometer for high temperature, high shear (HTHS) viscosity, Scanning Brookfield Technique/Gelation Index, and TEOST tests. This knowledge base and experience have helped us to become the leader not only in lubrication testing and research, but in guidance and consulting for a variety of sectors in the industry.
