I was promoted from Research Assistant to Research Scientist Level 1 and continue my work in acoustics. I am a UW CICOES employee contracted to NOAA. This work includes but is not limited to:- analyzing echolocation click trains + whistles and calls of various cetaceans and pinnipeds for presence and feeding patterns - using observer reports for visual and acoustic presence comparisons - assisting with machine learning - writing reports and peer-reviewed papers with my teamFor acoustic analysis, I am proficient with F-POD software, SoundChecker, Raven, & our team’s ML program

I analyze acoustic and visual data for ongoing projects. I am currently working on:- determining primary habitat of Cook Inlet Belugas to assess their behavior around pile driving in Anchorage - porpoise reactions to 'pingers' to help local fishermen prevent bycatch- training machine learning programs to recognize belugas and other cetaceans

While working at MoltenWorks I did many tasks, but the main included: - Assisting guests with glass project creation & teaching classes to 30+ people- Bartending and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment- Processing projects and running multiple kilns- Creating content for social media and increasing their Instagram & TikTok following- Using Square to calculate orders and check-out customers

I started and ran a collector plant shop on Etsy in 2021 that I directed traffic to using Instagram for marketing. I maintained a 5 star status and took pride in sending healthy plants and helping customers make sure they knew how to care for them properly.

I was in charge of making sure Current’s posts were engaging visually. I enforced Current’s photo policies (aka, posting photos that we have permission to use, or are labeled for reuse), and checked over each article during the review process to make sure the writer used appropriate pictures. I also made sure there were enough pictures per article (around 1 per paragraph), and gave suggestions on what images to use/if one of the images chosen wasn’t the best the writer could find.

I was a teaching assistant for the SAFS course Marine Mammalogy, where I helped come up with lesson plans, lectured, graded papers and tests, and ran labs.

I managed the brand account for MCI, and in my final weekend, our Twitter got over 2 million impressions. I ran the social media for MCI, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. I also contributed to their blog occasionally.

I teach all ages, including phonics for young children, subject and remediation tutoring for grade school and up, and ACT/SAT prep for high school students. As Head Teacher, I am also the go-to for the other tutors to ask questions of, I proctor and grade exams, and I help create curriculums for each individual student's needs.

I nannied for several families in the Seattle area. I took care of kids from the ages of 1 to 8-years-old; sometimes up to four at once.

I worked for the UW Daily as a science reporter, interviewing UW researchers about their current work and translating it into layman terms for the public.

I worked the front desk for UW Admissions, answering phones, greeting guests, matching guests with counselors, and entering data, among other customer service tasks.

I studied the dynamics of persistent organic pollutant transfer from mother bottlenose dolphins (tursiops truncatus) to calves. Specifically which organochlorine pesticides are most prevalent, preferentially offloaded, and biomagnified.

I analyzed months of recordings from a hydrophone in the Bering Sea. I was looking for bearded seal calls in the spectrograms in order to determine their dependence on sea ice. I can identify bearded and ringed seal, walrus, humpback, bowhead, killer, and beluga whale calls both visually and acoustically.

I worked on the sales floor helping customers find clothing, as well as organizing the floor and other duties.

I worked at the front desk, where I answered phones, greeted customers, copied blueprints, and shipped items, among other duties.
