Reservations Manager - Reservations
As soon as I heard there was a management role available in my original reservations sales team I jumped at the chance, the manager was heading off on maternity leave and this was my opportunity to give back to my roots and further my skills and experience in reservations and management. In this role I was the leader of the reservations sales agents team of 25 team members and 2 team leaders and responsible for coaching and developing them to achieve the company sales and productivity goals. I was also focused on educating, encouraging and motivating the team and ran regular team activities for work and play (inside and outside the office), reward programs, training sessions and regular performance reviews with the aim to reach maximum efficiency for each and every team member.

After 1 year in London and surviving their cold winter months I decided it was time to come home as I was missing my family and friends terribly. Once I settled back into Sydney life I reconnected with my original managers from Insight Vacations and was offered a newly created role in their sister company AAT Kings. Many could question the transition, however I used my strong technical experience with the companies systems and procedures as well as my background knowledge in the companies various touring products to help me transition over. In this role I was responsible for documenting and analysing the business processes and IT systems in order to translate them into new software requirements, and then use them to create new reporting facilities for all areas of the business.

Once the european summer came to an end I was eager to extend my stay in the UK and built up my reputation as a problem solver and go to person for getting things done and was offered a permanent role at the companies head office Trafalgar Management Services. As I was known as the product guru I quickly secured a 6 month european summer role at the the companies London Reception Centre for Insight Vacations and Trafalgar tours, the hub of the touring realm close by to Victoria Station in Central London. In this role I was responsible for managing complaints and incidents whilst on tour (from passangers and tour directors) and also responsible for managing clients special needs/requests whilst minimising the impact on their trip experience and maintaining operational guidelines.
Subject Matter Specialist - Reservations
This role is better described as the Product Information Specialist. In this role I was 1 of 3 senior supervisors and leaders of the reservations sales agents team of 20 team members. I was responsible for creating, managing and training the reservations sales team in the brand information manuals for product and processes and the main contact for other departments within and outside the organisation to provide support in these areas on behalf of the reservations sales team.
