We boost entrepreneurship and generate investment opportunities in B2B startups that align with our goal of transforming the financial market.My responsibilities were:· Coordination of the open innovation strategy of Sinqia. Sinqia is one of the most relevant technology and service providers for the financial sector in Brazil. · Manage the relationship with Torq’s Ecosystem comprised of 3 Venture Capital Funds, 2 Accelerators, 115 startups and Sinqia’s 5 main verticals to find opportunities to collaborate with open Innovation Initiatives.· Support to the Torq’s Open Innovation Partnerships that have already generated BRL 3.7 million to the company in 2023.· Liaison with relevant Ecosystem agents to deliver 3 Torq Talks, Torq’s flagship events. Including the very first event in the Northeast Region of Brazil in partnership with Porto Digital and an all-female Torq Talks discussing the uses of AI in the financial markets in partnership with WE Impact, both with over 100 registrations and expert panelists.· Management and Support of Torq’s Innovation Challenges, including the very first realized internationally in partnership with the Department for International Trade of the UK Government during London Fintech Week. Since 1993 IDB Lab has approved more than US$ 2 billion in projects deployed across 26 LAC countries.My main activities were:- Coordination of IDB Lab’s innovation ecosystem flagship project in Brazil (BID ao Cubo) managing a budget of around USD 2 million.- Support the internationalization process of 20 startups (out of 188 applicants) from 19 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean to Brazil.- Identification, selection, and support of 55 social impact startups (83% above goal) from the North and Northeast Regions of Brazil to 4 acceleration programs increasing their revenue by an average of 432%.- 16 Public Sector Clients trained to adopt the Digital Transformation in the Brazilian Public Sector.- Support the open innovation proposals and initiatives of the IDB Office in Brazil.- Identification and design of innovative activities and programs in coordination with local sector specialists from the IDB and IDB Invest.- Liaison with the Brazilian innovation ecosystem, through engagement with accelerators, incubators, start-ups, venture funds and other innovation initiatives. - Supervision of knowledge products of operations to promote the IDB Lab's innovation agenda in Brazil.- Work with the IDB Country Office in Brazil, providing strategic inputs from the perspective of the innovation ecosystem and economic development needs in the country to keep IDB Lab’s vision in Brazil up-to-date and relevant.
