Advises companies on global trade compliance and supply chain operations, with a focus on minimizing legal/regulatory risks and managing import/export compliance requirements. Provides consultation on duty recovery opportunities and program development in support of client's international trade strategy. Provides strategic direction for supply chain operations, including process engineering and development, regulatory and compliance matters, staffing strategies (temp labor), and optimization efforts. Led Target's Women's Enterprise Resource Group, a team of 75+ leaders that supported a platform and connection for 2600+ employees at headquarters and the field. Developed campaigns for Women's History Month, and International Women's Day, including Lean-In panels, developmental activities, and volunteer/community events. Participated in Women Build days with Habitat for Humanity, where all female crews supported on-site construction needs. Supported high-profile events, including panels with Target's executives, Senator Amy Klobuchar and Sheryl Sandberg.

Led enterprise compliance program management efforts, including Anti-Bribery/Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) programs, risk assessment model development and compliance consulting. Supported officer and board engagement on compliance updates, program governance and risk escalation. Key areas of focus: Healthcare Compliance, Environmental Compliance, Anti-Bribery/Office of Foreign Asset Control, DOT/Supply Chain Compliance, ADA, EPA, USDA.

Led import/export compliance program, including efforts to maintain Target's Importer Self-Assessment (ISA) membership. Championed industry efforts to drive a pragmatic approach to the implementation of the Lacey Act, and the creation of the Simplified Entry procedure. Managed Target's duty-saving efforts, including Free Trade Agreement/Special Trade Programs, Duty Engineering, and First Sale Program. Supported trade strategy discussions with key trade groups (RILA, AAEI) and congressional committees. Key areas of focus: Import/Export Compliance, ISA, Post-Entry Audit, Prior Disclosure, Trade Litigation, Antidumping/Countervailing Duty, Duty Reduction, Free Trade Agreement/Special Trade Programs.

Led strategic development of Target's vendor matrix, including a capabilities assessment for current and potential vendors. Introduced a vendor assessment that evaluated vendor and factory capabilities, including their ability to comply with US laws/regulations, as well as Target's vendor standards. Implemented a diversification strategy to ensure a balanced approach by country and vendor. Drove creation of a technology platform that provided a single source of truth for vendor and factory information. Extensive international travel to audit and evaluate in-country operations and manufacturing processes.

Led Anti-dumping and Countervailing duty investigations/annual reviews on cases of illegal trade practices associated with products from China, Japan and India. Partnered with the International Trade Commission, United States Trade Representative and foreign governments to conduct on-the-ground investigations to evaluate manufacturing inputs and applicability of surrogate country data. Wrote memos in support of Preliminary and Final results of investigations and annual reviews.

Supported the firm's Trade Practice Group, including anti-dumping and countervailing duty filings with the Department of Commerce and International Trade Commission. Researched and wrote legal memos/petitions in support of Softwood Lumber allegations with Canada.
