With a B.A in Dance from Dean College and a minor in Business, I am lucky to say that I do what I love for a living! I have worked at Needham Dance Theatre since 2009 as a dance teacher and have worked closely with children ages 3-17 in various genres of dance. I am the Varsity Dance Team Coach for Needham High School and a certified Barre Instructor. My academic background includes knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology, Kinesiology, and Pedagogy. As a dance major at Dean College, I learned how to instruct dance classes in a progression ranging from a beginner level to an advanced level. Coupled with my experience of working in the customer service realm as a server at the Cheesecake Factory, I have wonderful communication skills and thus, no problem talking to parents or getting my point across clearly in the classroom. I enjoy teaching dance and wish to do so for the rest of my life because of the rewarding feeling that comes from watching a student’s vast improvement from the beginning of a semester to the end.
