for change dance collective (fcdc) grew out of a desire to make dance through a choreographic process that reflects the ideals of socially conscious art. With a uniquely democratic approach to art-making, which embraces collaboration, shared ownership, and intimacy of all kinds, fcdc has been creating highly experiential and deeply felt dance theater since 2010. A sense of familial interconnectedness pervades the work, as many individual voices equally contribute to performance products that cast light on the aspects of humanity that connect us all. United under the core beliefs that great art is transformational art and that great art should be accessible to all, for change dance collective hopes to both dance for changes big and small in our world, and present performances at the cost of the spare change in your pocket.
