I graduated from Oral Roberts University with my Bachelors of Music Education in 2004 and earned the top music educator award. I went on to build a music program from scratch at a low income school in Tulsa, OK, earning the Teacher of the Year and Teacher of Today awards during my second year of teaching. I've used my expertise to found The Domestic Musician, LLC where I mentor and support elementary music teachers through the HARMONY membership site, Curriculum Design Roadmap Course, and The Elementary Music Teacher podcast. I’m also the author of “Make A Note: What You Really Need To Know About Teaching Elementary Music”.I hold a Masters in Educational Technology and have worked with Virtual Virginia, Charanga, Teacher Vision, F-flat Books, Pop PD, and McGraw Hill Education. I’ve designed courses, worked with different LMS, have designed and written curriculum, and have curated professional development sessions.My current roles include working in a support role at University of Arkansas as an Instructional Technology Support Specialist, and as a Student Success Coach at Arkansas Connections Academy.
