During my time at NAM Greater Cleveland, I have received training on answering the Helpline, which serves as a community information line available to give resources to those who call in. In addition to the Helpline, I attend once a week Inform and Inspire programs held in the Adult Behavioral Health Units of local hospitals to give resource information to patients as well as educate them on what resources NAMI Greater Cleveland provides and our various support groups. Additionally, I participated in various community events to give information and resources to community members and represent NAMI Greater Cleveland. I have also had the chance to attend a training on Mental Health First Aid for Adults leading to certification as a Mental Health First Aider. Also, I was given the opportunity to shadow a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training which aims to train community members on how to approach situations in which an individual might be experiencing a mental health crisis.

I have experience in working with children ages 4 months to 12 years old, instructing them on basic water safety skills and introductions to swimming. I have also been certified as a SNAP (Special Needs Aquatics Program) instructor which allows me to work alongside students with special needs and their parents to provide a well-rounded, individualized curriculum for swimming and water safety.
