I believe in the power of telling people's stories to make a difference in society. Using a language of compassion, logic and honesty in the right places can bring about real change.During my seven years at St Petrocs this approach has been key to our communications, positioning the charity as a leader in the conversation about ending homelessness in Cornwall. Our impactful messaging and campaigns, alongside high-standard service delivery, have reshaped the dialogue around homelessness in the county. Despite recent challenges for many in charity support, I am proud that the St Petrocs community has grown stronger.My voluntary sector experience extends beyond my professional role, encompassing charity governance both as a staff member and a voluntary trustee. I have held various leadership positions within Girlguiding for over fifteen years; I am part of a small team leading a Guide and Ranger group in Falmouth and currently serve as Assistant County Commissioner, an active trustee role for Girlguiding in this county.I thrive on adding detail to big-picture conversations, taking a realistic approach that anticipates challenges and finds solutions. My planning and decision-making skills are geared towards creating impact and achieving long-term goals.
