Community Diversity and Inclusion officers have a strong connection to the communities we support. I am a strong advocate for the Culturally Diverse, Rainbow, over 55's, Disability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Within my short time at Kingston I have planned and led Council's 2024 DAHOBIT and Refugee Week events, collaborated and supported the Reconciliation Lead with community consultation for Councils new Reconciliation Action Plan, completed Gender Impact Assessment Training which enabled me to lead the Reconciliation Action Plan's GIA and contribute an array of GIA's for internal council policies. I collaborated across council departments, with Life Saving Victoria along with a local culturally diverse Primary School to implement Water Safety information sessions for parents and caregivers which aligned with the schools swimming lesson program for students. This program is aimed to build the capacity of newly arrived refugee and migrants who's cultural values have not historically included how to be safe around water.

Since April 2022, I have engaged with an array of internal and external stakeholders to establish, plan and lead Council’s first Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Network (CALD), whilst planning and leading the Council’s annual Harmony and Neighbour Day events. Along with the completion of multiple internal secondments with the Social Policy and Planning team and Impact Volunteering. This role involves a high level of contact with the wider community, service providers and organisations. I believe the fore front of my role as a Council worker is to deliver a high level of customer service to the wider community.Key Achievements- Establishment of Frankston Council's first Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Network- Planned and led the exhibition of Cultural Costumes which promoted the top 10 languages spoken in Frankston City other than English in acknowledgement of Cultural Diversity Week- Planned and led the Get to know the Cultural Diversity of your Community bus tour which provided an opportunity for the CALD Network to learn more about the diverse community they were representing at Council

As Senior Administration Officer at Alfred Child and Youth Mental Health Service, I supervise and support a team of 5 administrators within a stressful and demanding environment. Flight Centre prides itself on high standards of customer service. The recruitment process for this role involved a personality-based interview, followed by a 4 week training course, incorporating time in the office to implement what you had learned and to connect with your new team. Ultimately, the role involved providing suggestions of travel, organising and booking travel for individuals and groups. More specifically the role involved reconciling accounts, invoices, sales reports, and banking within parameters of each consultants individual business. Building a rapport with clients and suppliers was a large part of earning a substantial income and this could only be done with strong levels of communication with clients, team members and providers. Key Achievements:- Qualified for a global incentive called Global Ball for three years out of the five years that I was employed at Flight Centre as a high profit earning store- Awarded with many trips domestically and internationally throughout my time at Flight Centre for high level of sales or profit- Achieved third most profitable Novice (first 12 months of the company) for the year of 2006-2007
