Throughout my education, I have loved engaging with people to learn about their interests and passions and discovering how to bring them joy with the little things that can make someone’s day. During my junior and senior years of high school, I was a host at a local restaurant. This experience made me realize how much I enjoy interacting with all types of customers, including working with the restaurant staff. What I loved most about my job was forming relationships with strangers that became friends and regular customers. I learned the nuances of running a restaurant and the importance of working as a team to get the job done. I also learned to understand the variety of menu choices that kept these customers returning by seeing a pattern in their choices. Putting this into a professional capacity is why I chose to study marketing at the Kelley School of Business. I am excited to learn more about behavioral trends and how it ties to marketing- ultimately working as a team to get a product into a person’s hands.
